Open letter to all customers pertaining CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) Dear Customer, In August 2008, President Bush signed into law the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA). This new law requires manufacturers of domestic and imported children’s products to test and certify their products to ensure they meet all safety standards outlined by the CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission). This new law requires all products manufactured after November 12 2008 be tested and certificates of testing be made available to customers and US customs stating conformity to all relevant standards, including lead content and flammability. As a retailer or distributor you are expected to ensure that your inventory is compliant and that the companies you deal with are upholding this law. In lieu of this new law I am delighted to tell you that the entire Hatley product line is compliant and tested. Not only have we tested all our product manufactured after November 12, but we have in fact been testing our product for several years, well before this new legislation became a law. Should you like to see a specific test for a specific product manufactured after November 12, 2008 please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Service Department for the relevant certificate of conformity.
